In this three week small group learn, practice & create with basic principles of a therapeutic model that is creating a revolution in psychology: Internal Family Systems (IFS for short). Based on the idea that our minds have multiple parts, IFS therapy focuses on enabling these parts to “communicate” with each other so that inner conflicts can be resolved and reintegration can take place.
If you have practiced SoulCollage, or engaged in gestalt therapy or seen the Disney movie Inside Out the concept of “parts” will be familiar to you. IFS uniquely organizes parts into categories of protector/managers, firefighters and exiles and offers easy, gentle methods, meditations and creative prompts to work with each type of part leading to deep healing and unburdening.
During each session there will be time to learn a little bit of IFS theory, experience an IFS guided meditation & create some “parts art”. Our hope is that together, using principals from IFS while creating meaningful art, particpants will get to know their own inner systems in deep, personal, and transformational ways. We will all travel together as fellow explorers honoring each participant’s comfort zone, pace, insights, intuition and individuality.

Cost for this introductory 3 week group is $99 total, there will be no makeup sessions.
Nancy is a level 3 trained and certified IFS practitioner and loves sharing the IFS map and model of the psyche with others. Together we hope there will be enough interest in IFS to create a weekly study and “Parts Art” group at Juicy Creatives Studio to get to know and express our parts through gentle inquiry and creative process using drawing, collage and sandtray play.
