Kintsugi: The Art of Healing

Kitsugi.png

Each of us holds experiences that can make us feel broken. The Japanese art of Kintsugi allows us to embrace the broken places, accept what has changed and learn to create with what remains. By mending the cracks between our broken pieces, we build resilience and strength. Our beauty shines through the cracks, and we can find we are truly stronger in the broken places.

All materials included, bring a sack lunch and a few special items to create your own altar. Wear comfortable clothes you won’t mind getting paint on.

A picture is worth a thousand words, here are a few photos from the heart-full Kintsugi workshop that took place in July. Please note, at that time, since we were all vaccinated and the Delta variant was not yet surging masks were optional. Vaccination and masks are both now required for my in-person classes.

Updated Covid-19 Policy:

At this time I am opening the studio only to vaccinated students, proof required. Out of an abundance of caution with the Delta variant, and because locally we are experiencing a high infection rate, the studio will also be following the Palm Beach County and CDC guidelines of wearing a mask indoors in public settings.

Enrollment is limited to 8 students There will be ample room in the studio to keep 6’ distance. Additionally, weather permitting, there will be two tables made available to work outside for periods of time if you need to step outside and take your mask off. However, all instructions and opening closing circles will take place inside.
