Soul Lab is a place for experimentation, self-discovery and creative community.
In this 5 week series of Soul Lab we explore the relationship between mind-body-soul and creativity. Each session begins with 45 minutes of guided gentle yoga with Nice Pollido — we will find our creative pulse, and impulse, within the body and then shift into an Intuitive Painting process called “Body Prismatic” with Elise Crohn.
How it Works
Choosing power poses and tracing our shadows, we outline our forms onto life-size paper. This outline gives you a compelling place to start your creative journey. After a little creativity coaching we use a series of prompts that inspire us to flow with shapes colors, words, doodles and oodles of paint to express our inner worlds, daring selves and delicious dreams. Even if you have NEVER lifted a paint brush before you will find yourself swept into the momentum of free creative expression.
Each participant will receive an art journal and weekly prompts to keep the creative exploration and journey going between sessions, or to explore in the class sessions.

Intuitive Painting is a journey with color, shape and imagery that leads straight to the heart of your own Soul.
You will learn to befriend your Muse (the intuitive voice within) and paint from your heart and soul with a table of luscious tempera paints, brushes of all sizes, plenty of white paper and lots of encouragement. Together we will create a safe and sacred environment that supports you in listening to your intuition and facing the unknown in your creative journey not with fear but with curiosity.
This is not an art technique class and there will be no critiques or comparisons. Our focus is on bringing out your own unique expression and intimacy with the source of your imagination, or, The Muse.
No previous art experience is expected or required.
Nice Polido teaches a gentle approach to the practice of yoga, primarily based upon the teachings of Angela Farmer and Victor van Kooten. Using imagery and awareness of the breath, Nice's exceptional techniques combined with her unique and open manner allows students to experience and explore yoga postures with ease, encouragement and without judgment. Her classes are both playful and experiential, being less interested in the perfection of your pose and more interested in your own personal exploration and well being.
Gentle, inspirational yoga
