Soul Lab Drop in Sessions: The Sanctuary of Expressive Arts *in-person

  • Lake Worth FL 33461 (map)

Welcome back to the in-person, indoor studio!

As challenges in the world, and sometimes in our lives, press in on us we all need places of Sanctuary to rehydrate our souls, breathe into our center, and embrace the wholeness that DOES exist within the heart and the Soul. Expressive Arts is the where I have found Sanctuary and I LOVE sharing the sanctuary of my studio with you!

In these Expressive Arts sessions expect to expand your self-knowledge, mindfulness, imagination and ability to play. Learn something new each time! Drop in for individual sessions, or attend the whole series. Some of the themes we’ll be working with:

  • June 24th Emotional Landscapes, intuitive art journal painting, moods + colors

    • Learn several ways to explore the relationship between moods and colors and learn to paint intuitively in your art journal to process the emotions and experiences of your life

  • July 1st Hyper-Art Journaling + lil’ side car paintings

    • let go and create faster than your mind can mind think and discover the joy, power and synchronicity of spontaneity!

  • July 8th The Sanctuary of Sandplay + the healing image

    • create a 3-d world in the sand with the hundreds of symbolic objects in the studio + learn how to receive the soul’s message from the sand

  • July 15th Creating with the 4 elements + their Animal Allies

    • An immersive discovery of Earth, Air, Fire, Water + creative exploration with a chosen element in your art journal, then experience a guided meditation to discover an animal spirit that is waiting to connect with you and let its energy guide guide you as you complete your art journal page.

  • July 22nd Visionary Collage Cards

    • Learn about the progression from Expressive Arts, to Visionary Art to Integrative Arts and intuitively create powerful visual affirmation cards to use the rest of the summer.

We’ll be using an art journal as the base for our explorations and a place to record and discover moods, insights, and the inner creative. However, expect to use a variety of materials from clay to collage to paint to sandplay.

Each class session will focus on a different method/tool of expressive arts + guided meditation + time for sharing. You’ll leave the class with a different “challenge” each week in the form of a prompt and process or two to keep working in your art journal at home (if you choose).

If you are a therapist or teacher you can expect to learn tools and processes to use with your own clients/students.

This is a drop-in series to allow for summer schedules. Each class is stand alone but together there will be a connected flow. There will be one makeup session for those who buy the whole series in the form of an open-studio.

Participants who buy the whole series will also receive an art journal of your choice + some bonus art materials to work with at home.

If you are just dropping in for one or more sessions you can bring your own journal, purchase one at the studio or work on loose heavyweight paper provided (all other art materials are included in the class fee).

*Each class session is limited to 9 participants

This is not an art technique class and there will be no critiques or comparisons.  Our focus is on bringing out your own unique expression and intimacy with the source of your imagination.
No previous art experience is expected or required.

Updated Covid Policy:

Participants are expected to be vaccinated. As of this writing (May 23, 2022) Palm Beach County has JUST been moved to the high risk category due to increasing number of infections.
Even though classes at the studio are small 7-10 masking is encouraged (but will be optional). As the pandemic is a fluid ever-changing situation masking policy may change as well.
If you have been exposed to someone with Covid, or feel ill you are expected to not come to class. If you have to miss a scheduled class due to Covid exposure or illness credit will be given towards a future class or workshop, or some other arrangement can be made.
