Wherever you go, whatever you do, ALL your chakras go with you! Join me on this in-depth 15 week journey of unpacking and discovering the mystery, wisdom and creativity hidden in your chakras!
What is it?
This weekly drop-in group creates an ongoing safe container to explore art as a Soul-full, meaning-creating force in our lives. Soul Lab is a place where you can learn to listen to your inner voice, and the voice of the imagery you create, while sharing with and supporting each other on the inward journey of creativity.
At the beginning of each session there is check-in to connect and meet each other, then a meditation and/or creative process is offered to get the juices flowing.
The Winter/Spring Session 2017 will encompass 15 weeks on the chakra system of the body.

The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit meaning wheel of spinning energy. The "chakra system" refers to the ancient Hindu insight of 7 energetic centers that run along our spine each of which is associated with different aspects of physical health, psychological development, and spiritual understanding. In working with the chakra system you are working with your whole being on many levels!
This 15 week exploration of the chakras embodies the chakra course I have always wanted to take but could never find -- so I finally decided to create it! I hope you will join me in this deep and FUN dip into the world of your own mind, body, spirit and COLOR. Each week we will learn more about the interface between our physical bodies, psychological well being and spiritual awareness through exploration of our chakras via journaling, guided meditation, discussion and most of all ART -- TONS OF ART!
Through this experiential learning class you will discover what each chakra means for YOU through intuitive creative processes that will include:
mandala making,
sandplay
mixed media college
nature/earth art
personal photography
and exploration of new art techniques, methods and materials that pair with the energy of each chakra
We will also be creating throughout the 15 weeks (your choice of):
at-home altars to explore the energy of the chakra
1-3 SoulCollage® cards for each chakra,
a large scale intuitive painting body map
individual mandalas/chakra paintings on canvas
stone and crystal jewelry, pendulums and prayer beads associated with the chakras
We will spend 2 consecutive weeks on each chakra allowing time to journey with and digest each chakra and create in several modalities exploring what the energy of that chakra means for you now and in your personal history.

How much does it cost?
The suggested donation is $35 per session or $120 for a package of 4 sessions which never expire.

9:45-10:00am Arrive, chat, settle in
10:00-10:30am Centering, sharing, setting an intention and introduction to process
10:30-12:15 Creating!
12:15-12:30 Witness writing
12:30-1:00 Closing sharing
Do I need to bring anything?
You will probably want to bring a blank (unlined) journal for notes and experiments. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks. Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting art on!
Absolutely no previous art experience is required.
